          Biography of Frank Gehry

          Frank Gehry is an American architect who was born on February 28, 1929, in Toronto, Canada.

          At the age of 17, he moved to Los Angeles with his family, where he studied architecture at the University of Southern California. His first independent work was the Stahl House in Brentwood, California, built between 1954 and 1959.

          Although it shows the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright, Gehry's own desire to move away from direct references to historical prototypes and his creative, free interpretation is already evident.

          In 1962, Gehry opened his own firm in Los Angeles.

          During this period, he created architectural compositions using large cubist forms, such as the Danziger Studio and Residence in Hollywood.
